Terms of Service

Last reviewed: 3 October 2026.

HistoryZ publishes general historical and educational information. Its articles distinguish surviving evidence from interpretation; they are not individual legal, financial or other professional advice.

Using and citing our work

You may link to our articles and make lawful short quotations with attribution. Original HistoryZ text and design remain protected unless a different licence is stated. Republishing whole articles or presenting our work as your own is not authorised.

Third-party images and sources

Photographs, manuscripts, illustrations and other third-party material retain the rights and licences identified in their captions or source records. Public-domain material and openly licensed works are not claimed as exclusively owned by HistoryZ. A Creative Commons licence may permit reuse subject to its own attribution, share-alike or other conditions; consult the linked licence rather than assuming these terms replace it.

Accuracy and corrections

Historical interpretation can change as evidence is reassessed. We do not promise that every statement is exhaustive or that external links remain available indefinitely. Report a specific factual or rights issue through our Contact page; our Corrections Policy explains the review process.

Advertising and privacy

HistoryZ may display advertising if the relevant service approves the site. An advertisement is not an editorial endorsement. Optional advertising and measurement technologies are subject to the applicable consent requirements described in our Privacy Policy. We do not ask readers to click advertisements to support the publication.

Responsible access

Do not misuse the site to impersonate others, interfere with its operation or obtain unauthorised access. External source links are research routes, not a guarantee of another website’s content or practices. Nothing on this page overrides a right or responsibility that cannot lawfully be limited.
