Our editorial approach
Articles are prepared by the HistoryZ Editorial Team. We aim to distinguish documented fact from interpretation, use reputable primary and institutional sources where possible, and make uncertainty clear rather than presenting speculation as certainty.
Historical writing is revised as stronger evidence becomes available. Readers are encouraged to report factual errors, broken sources, attribution concerns, or missing context through our Contact page.
Images and attribution
We prioritize public-domain, openly licensed, and institutionally documented visual material. Captions identify interpretive artwork when an image is not a contemporaneous historical record.
Corrections
Substantive corrections are reviewed against the best available evidence. When an article requires major revision, publication may be delayed or the article may be updated before further promotion.
